Romans 8
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Sin doesn't have any bondage on you upon repentance in Christ name. Christ is The fulfillment of The law.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
We are to weak in the flesh to do all The law says to do, so our Father simplified everything for us by sending His Son to die for us that we may have The Way to life everlasting.
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
The law is fulfilled when we walk in it's fulfillment which is Christ, Christian = Christ like.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Where's your focus, your thoughts? Are you concerned for the things of the world or at peace in your daily walk understanding the who, what, when, where's of this flesh age. Do you serve those things of God?
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
An earthly, flesh way of thinking will bring only worry and death, while a spiritual mind in Christ brings peace of mind and comfort in this life and to come.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
"enmity" = division, Greek word is "ecthra" = "adversary" against God. Reject God, He will reject you. Do you waste time on people that just won't listen to anything you have to say?
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
You just can't do anything to please God when you reject Him and His ways. Running doesn't change a thing! ONLY when you put away the fleshly ways and seek Him can you begin to please Him. Deuteronomy 4:24 For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Seek The Spirit of Christ and you are Gods, He lives with you. Rejecting Christ makes you one of satans. Pretty simple isn't!
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
When you see things spiritually, you see things on a much different level and have a peace others can't comprehend.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
"quicken" = made alive. When we accept Christ we are at that point "made alive." There's a feeling as you grow in Him that you don't have while living of the fleshly ways.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
Were in debt to Christ because of His sacrifice for us. He gave of Himself, giving us The Way to true life.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Put those fleshly ways behind you = mortify your acts and live. John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Within The Old Testament the "sons of God" = angels; here in The New the "sons of God" are the children of God, those who accept His Ways. Those who follow His Word †
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The peace of mind that ONLY God can give releases the fear that only a fleshly mind could have. Praise God for the blessing He gives us.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
As a Christian and I mean a true Christian holding to The Truth, you will be hated by people in your life and out of your life. Don't let them see you sweat it, you will be lifted in glory together with Christ the day you die or that 7th trump.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
The troubles of the flesh = tribulations, are very little compared to the blessings we receive out of this flesh.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
The "earnest expectation of the creature", "creature" Greek word κτίσις ktísis, ktis'-is; from G2936; original formation (properly, the act; by implication, the thing, building, creation. We as sons of God have made a change since the first age of time. That right, we were alive in another form. Jeremiah was even told this. Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. We go back to our original form, new body's upon death or that 7th Trump, Ref. 1 Cor. 15 and the three world ages can be found in 2 Peter 3. Before you ignore this, check it out first!
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
Each soul is placed on this earth subject to the ways of this flesh, full of vanity but at the same time we are given hope through Christ that we are made new in Him. This life is the test. It's to weed out those who chose evil over good. In the end, Heaven won't have any evil in it. The weeds are gone for good!
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Follow Christ and that creature that once was being in the first earth age, will be in the last age, a child of God forever. Were delivered only through Christ Jesus. There is NO other way.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
We find this age is pain and those pains growing closer together as we approach the 7th Trump = The Lord only return after He came as a babe. Ref. - Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, and a must 2 Thess. 2 along with all of Revelations.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Those of "the firstfruits of the Spirit", have Christ within them, waiting for Him to add our souls = adopt us to Him. That 7th trump is about to sound but we won't hear it, it's just going to happen in a blink of an eye.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
We can't see what that first earth age looked like, but we walk with Christ daily, hoping for His return and the world that was returned to that paradise it was created as. Ref. 2 Peter 3:5-6 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
FAITH!
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Even when we can't put our thoughts in words, our Father understands our faith. He knows our hearts and every thought, He is our Holy Spirit = comforter. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
God knows our hearts/minds = intellect = soul and He sends some to do His Will.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Ever thought about why you're here now and not 100 years ago or 500 years ago. He has a purpose for you. Have you sought Him out? Have you studied His Word? God has an Elect for this age in time and you're one of them if you're truly seeking Him. He will use you for His purpose. There are a direct Elect of 144,000, 12,000 of each of the 12 tribes that do His will already.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
This certain elect of God was chosen before the age of flesh human = first earth age and what they did then predestined them to do the will of God now.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
See, they were judged in the first age and found worthy to be called to serve a specific duty God directs them to serve in this second age of time. This human flesh age.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Where is your faith? Do you not know God has given you power over all things† Where is your faith?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
God keeps His word. He said He would send His Son to die for us and He did, so why would you not believe He will do everything for you? Remember, it will always be what He thinks you require and on His time, not ours, because He knows what's best! Faith†
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
Don't sweat what others have to say. It's God that has our final outcome in His hands. Don't worry about peoples words, they usually have little to no meaning when negativity spews out.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
There is ONLY One that will judge according to condemnation and if we chose Christ Jesus, The One that IS The right Hand of God, we don't have a thing to worry about. It's a great life in The Lord, no matter what tomorrow brings.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Ref. Psalms 44:22 Yea, for Thy sake are we killed all the day long; We are counted as sheep for the slaughter. But we have Christ today and can handle whatever may come. Faith† or are you going to give up?
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
