Hebrews 11
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Repent and start living with Christ, you don't need to see anything, you can feel Him. Don't let satan talk to you after! He's the one putting doubt in your mind. When you get into The Word, you gain the knowledge of what will be = "hoped for" and will understand more of what you can't see with your eyes. Spiritual sight is a real awaking.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
By their faith and work while in the flesh, they are written in the book. What do you believe and do will decide your report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Do you understand there was an age of time before this flesh. The earth was a garden throughout. We are in the second age and a third to come. In the first age satan wasn't made evil, he became evil and took many with him. This age of flesh was made to defeat death = satan and for every soul to chose God or satan. The third age, what is to come, is where heaven is called such because there is no evil in it at all. 3 World ages, 2 Peter 3
4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
Abel obeyed and showed he loved God and even though his flesh body died, he lives with The LORD today. Have you learned anything?
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God
Little deep here, but Enoch didn't die of this flesh as The LORD took him. He could be one of the two witnesses to come very soon. If you understand time in the heavens you can understand what has happened to him and if he returned as one of the two, he wouldn't have aged much at all. Genesis 5:22-24 22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years. 24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Saying you're a Christian won't mean and doesn't mean anything. What do you believe and do is what counts.
7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
Noah knew if he didn't do what God told him, they would perish. There is another flood right now and you can escape it by the Study of The Word. A great flood of lies and the biggest yet to show up. When satan gets here many will follow him thinking he is Christ. These call themselves "Christians" and they were the ones waiting on the escape = rapture. Your TRUE escape is The Word. Knowledge! Is your armor on? Are you ready for battle, or is your "faith" in a false doctrine made up of fools. Empty your mind and study 2 Thess. 2!
8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
God told Abraham there was land to be his and when God tells you something, what is in you will decide to listen. Is it good or evil that is in you! Where is your faith? Is it in Government or God? Is it in money, people, things, etc. or do you feel peace of mind because you have given everything of your mind for God to control. This is no means not to do the work, but to not worry about the things of the world.
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
Abraham all the way down to today have had the same promise. To be with The LORD! Faith will bring us together.
10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
This of course hasn't come as of yet, but is on the way. The new Jerusalem is very soon. Revelation 21:1-2 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
Sarah being 96 God said she would conceive a child. Could you believe this could happen today at 96? Well what if God told you? Faith!
12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
Isaac was really old, close to an age of death. Through him, God would build nations. His seed grew very large and fills a lot of the world.
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
They held to the promise, they knew of The salvation to come and they still held to God through whatever came in their lives. FAITH!
14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
Everyone that has repented seeks peace in a place of their own. Fight the good fight, one is coming!
15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
Would you want to go back to the way you where? If you're a REAL Christian you don't want anything to do with it.
16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
Those REAL Christians that are not ashamed to be Christians are pleasing to God. He isn't ashamed to call them His and will all be together very soon.
17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
Abraham knowing through his seed would come many had the faith in God that even giving his son Isaac, God would still keep his promise. FAITH!
18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
Do you have The Key of David? Then you know Why Isaac and his seed would be so important. That's Right, Christ Jesus would come.
19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
The blessings that came are nations. Jacob = Israel and America, Esau = Russia. One turned to God at one time the other ran. Because the government that is in place today in the USA is against God it is as it always has been. It's the individual that gives themselves to God and is blessed.
21 By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.
The head of the house was blessed. Jacob blessed Ephraim and Manasseh, the two largest tribes of Israel. Today they are the United States and Great Britain.
22 By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.
Israel would return to the promise land and out of Egypt. Joseph would be dead and he wanted his bones returned to the promise land.
23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.
Moses's parents knew he was to be the deliverer. That he was to deliver Israel from the hands of Pharaoh. The Pharaoh was to kill all the children under two. Pharaoh was told about one that would be a deliverer born of the children of Israel. Not one can ever stop what is to be, God is in control.
24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
Moses could have had it all. All of the worldly, but he knew there is more than earthly things. He knew life was more than himself.
That's what comes to us all. Reward or punishment. Many
will say, "that's not a very loving God" well you don't understand
heaven then. Heaven in the end is called such because evil isn't welcome
there. Where are you going to be? Your actions today, right now, determines
this fact. Repent and turn from evil. Change your heart and live for what is
right in the sight of God. How? Study His Word!
27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
Moses knew God was The most important in his life. Our Father is The One that created us. Don't worry about what others think.
28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
As evil screamed when their first born died, those that heed God's warnings was and are saved. You listening?
29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.
God told Moses to lift his rod and divide the sea. God of course did the dividing, but they showed their faith going into the divide. Exodus 14:15-22 15 And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: 16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. 17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen. 18 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen. 19 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: 20 And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night. 21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. 22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.
What do you rely on? Christians KNOW God has their backs when they do right.
31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.
She wasn't a harlot in the sense we call them today. She was a very good business woman, full of FAITH in God. Rahab made fine clothing the flax on her roof was enough to hide the two spies in. The people would travel long distances to purchase her fine linen. Rahab also ran an inn, and would have her clients stay there. They labeled a successful business woman "a harlot"; probably because of her business was better than theirs. James 2:24-26 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:
Paul is telling us, he could go on and on about people that had shown and kept their Faith in God. Use these examples in your life.
33 Who through faith
subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths
of lions.
FAITH! Trouble in your life? FAITH! God is ALWAYS
there, FAITH!
34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
Many people are having tribulations today. Your FAITH is what will determine your outcome. Battle with God by your side!
36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
Look around you today. Real Christians are hated throughout the world. We are not here to please people. We are here that they may see Him that is in us. Some of the ones attacking are those that "call" themselves "christians". Stay focused and strong in The Lord my brothers and sisters. It's all about to get really crazy.
37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
Real Christians will be treated as the lowest, but are of The Highest. Bring it! We can handle whatever may come of our flesh. They can't touch our souls. Our FAITH is bigger than anything anyone can throw at us.
38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
The worldly will try to put you in desolation while they think of themselves over what is good. They lack wisdom. It's not about our flesh body's, it's about our eternal souls. Let them think they are bringing you down into their traps. You know you are free and lifted up in Christ Jesus. Be salt!
39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
"These" had lived before Christ. They did however get to hear Christ after His death on the cross. Yet it was their FAITH that they held to knowing about Christ and the promise of salvation.
40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
Do you see the many blessings you have today? Don't you see them? Stay strong in The Lord and hold to The FAITH in Christ.
