1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.

Paul tells them over and over again, "rejoice in the Lord" because he doesn't want them to lose focus in Truth. He doesn't want them to be deceived.

2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

Beware of the fake Christians, that's the so called pastors to the pews. Beware of traditions of humans making "concision" cutting rituals to their body's. Beware of those traditions people make up.

3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Our circumcision is of the heart = mind, not the flesh.

4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:

We get things done in this flesh, but this flesh can't save you. None of your work can ever save you. It's ONLY by the blood of Christ, His sacrifice, can anyone be saved.

5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;

Paul was circumcised on his 8th day, born of the tribe of Benjamin and a Pharisee, he had been raised in the highest standards of education.

6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

Paul was great in the religious worlds eyes. He gathered Christians to jail and to murder and he strived to be the best at what he did by their righteous laws.

7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

The things we see as good for our fleshly wants have no place in our spiritual needs. Traditions have no place in our walk with Christ.

8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Paul's saying he has lost = gave up the things of his past for the serving of Christ. All that religious junk was nothing but deception.

9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Paul didn't live righteously while following that religious community in their religious laws. Humans twist the things of God to conform to the ways of the world. They put on a great show for the unlearned to follow. We need to study The Word and learn of The Truth in Christ.

10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

You must study The Word to see The Way. Don't be placed in bondage of traditions of humans churches, but come to be part of the body of Christ in Truth and in His Word. He defeated death = satan at the cross. He has given Himself that we may live today and forevermore but we must continue to seek Him in Truth. They hated Him, He gave that we may live. †  Romans 5:17-18  17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.  18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

If Paul earned life everlasting, He'll have it. Have you accepted Christ? He is The Only Way anyone can have it.

12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

Here, Paul has been drawn in by Christ. He loves The Lord and His Truth. Paul is looking forward to the day he has his new body and the age to come.

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

Paul can see things clearly. He knows what's coming for him at his fleshly death. A new body and to see The Lord.

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Leading others to Christ and Eternal life!

15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

It's a matter of discipline in your Christian walk. If you stay disciplined in The Word, The Holy Spirit will reveal His Truth to you. He'll open His Word up and you will see those things that have been right before you all along.

16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

Christ is The Way we go as Christians. The only other way is satan. We hold to Christ, growing in Him or the void is filled by satan. Christians seek The Word!

17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

Paul and the others set the example and their example is Christ. It's very easy, if it doesn't truly align with The Word, they're of the devil. Be real careful today. The world is full of fakes. There are very few teaching The Word of God..... The True Word of God.  2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  It's up to you! 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

Paul has told them many times, watch out for those fakes. They claim they walk after Christ, but are in fact enemies of the cross of Christ. I see so many fooled today, it saddens me. I can see Paul's concern about those Philippians. The fake pastors are everywhere and people are eating it up.

19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

Their evil will bring them destruction.

20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

We seek The Word and within The Word is Truth....... is life.  2 Thessalonians 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

We look for His coming on that 7th trump, that trump of God. We look forward to our new incorruptible body's. Hold to The Truth and check out everything! This is a sad time and a exciting time. A dangerous time and a glorious time. Hold to The Truth of God. Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.  Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
