Hebrews 2

1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

This is why we go through God's Word Chapter by Chapter and verse for verse. A word here or there will lever you lost as to the context and what you REALLY should be doing. The Word is a daily walk, not a once a week and few verse life. You don't live long enough to get His Word that way. I'm sure for the most of you, if you follow the postings daily, your fed more in a week, than in a church building for a year. NOT boasting, just pointing out most churches aren't doing what they should be doing today.

2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

You can count on God correcting you when you stray. What many see as a curse is in fact a blessing for those that love Him.

3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

You have no escape if you reject The Lord. We have The Truth from those that walked with Him, yet people make up their own ways, making up their own truth.

4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will?

For more on these gifts read 1 Cor. 12

5 For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.

The control isn't for any angel, but only for The Son of God. NOTICE, "World to Come" that right here on earth, just a new age of time. The world will be put back the way it was. There where plush vegetation growing on the WHOLE earth. There was no winter. Both poles had the same things growing as the equator. They have found Mammoths with buttercups in their mouths in the arctic. It was tropical then with the dew to water. It will be rejuvenated back to that way again. The LORD didn't make it void, it became void because of the evil. God made it perfect, but had to destroy that age because of the evil that was chosen.

6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him?

Psalm 8:4 What is man, that Thou art mindful of Him? And the son of man, that Thou visitest Him? David is the one that testifies. What are humans that God would visit them?

7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

Christ Jesus Yahshua

8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

It will soon be, that "ALL" these things we see and don't see will be done, Finished! This happens at the 7th trump, The Trump of God. That's when Christ comes back, NOT until then!

9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

This is what makes you a Christian. The belief that He came and died for you. That by His suffering, you are set free. Accepting that favor given and following His path is the beginning of peace.

10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

God made sure to give us The Way, but we must chose freely. True love is freedom. Who wants evil in heaven? Not one person that follows Christ, that's who. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

If you follow Christ, your His.

12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.

Christ will stand beside those that will also declare His name. He will call you family, He will announce it in song.

13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.

Trust is a form of faith. Christ has faith in those that truly follow Him, that they will stand in times of trouble, just as they have faith in Him to give them power over troubles in life.

14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

God wouldn't ask anything of us that He Himself wouldn't do. He showed us how, so there isn't any excuses, especially when He gave of Himself, that we may have life everlasting.

15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Two meanings! First, fear of dieing and second, fear of the devil. Christ defeated both on the cross. When you give up your flesh and the fear of satan you can have peace physically and spiritually. God doesn't want you to have fear or sadness. He wants you to give your worry over to Him and enjoy the life He has given you trough Christ and His Word. Why waste what you could have EVERYDAY! -> PEACE OF MIND

16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

Christ could have come in His supernatural body, but that wouldn't have had the same impact as coming in this flesh.  He came to die for us and He came to show us how to do it in these bodies. God wouldn't ask us to do it if He didn't do it Himself. Remember, real love isn't forced. This flesh age is to weed out those that just don't love Him and chose evil over good. You can find the lineage of Mary in Luke 3:23-43 giving you the seed of Abraham. From divinity to humanity. Jesus came not to help angels but humanity.

17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Can't tell you enough, God came because He wouldn't ask anything of us that He Himself wouldn't do and gave of Himself that we may have life.

18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

Those that turn to Christ when trouble comes, have power. Christ showed us the way to overcome evil. It's in The Manual for Life = The Bible!
