Matthew 7
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
So many use this verse to justify others telling them they shouldn't do something evil. They lack the rest of Chapter 7's meaning. John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. In order to know what is right, you study Gods Word and apply it to your life.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Are you being fair when judging others? If yes, God will be fair in judging you. Don't ever judge on emotion, but on facts.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Do you see all the sins in your life, or are you concentrating on the sin of someone else?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
You shouldn't tell someone not to do something evil, when you yourself are doing that very thing.
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
You had better fix yourself before you even think about helping another see their sin you yourself are committing.
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
Judge righteously! Don't waste your time with those just looking for a fight. Plant your pearls = God Truth, to those that will listen.
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
If you hunger for The Truth of God's Word, He will see its opened to you and what you can handle at that time. Open it and ask Him.
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
God will feed us Truth and if someone asks you of The Truth, I pray you feed them His Word also. The Bread Of Life brings us all life. Try your best not to overload someone with what you know. It then can become a stone, a stone of stumbling. We don't want to trip anyone up, but lead them to The Truth.
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
The fish is symbolic for Christ and Christianity, while the serpent is, of course, symbolic of satan. What do you offer those that ask of you?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father Which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
What you put in, you put out. Study Gods Word, follow Him and feed those that you love; blessings come. You think about what will happen if you don't!
12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
How you like to be treated is how you should treat others. In most cases, people will treat you kindly when you show them kindness.
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
This road is wide and as time passes the road narrows until that time you're at the gate. Stay on The right path and don't venture off. John 10:9 I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Don't veer off now, He is at the door. So many are giving up for very weak reasons. They ignore The One that gives us strength, while giving themselves back to the world and satan.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
In this period of time we have many "religiously titled" people that seem like they care for The Lord and you, but could care less about either. Beware! You won't know the difference if you, yourself don't study Gods Word. A good sound and show can fool anyone that doesn't know what God truly says about things. This is why so many believe in a "rapture" and traditions of humans, instead of what God would have us understand, especially in today's generation.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Are these preaching chapter for chapter and verse for verse. Do you feel truly fed when you hear them teach THE WORD OF GOD? Or are they talking about anything other than God? Do they follow what they preach? We have a world of so called pastors that are full of themselves and sugar, rather than God and salt.
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Good souls/people will do good things, evil won't. Applying this analogy of Matthew 7:17 to Genesis 2, will help you understand what happened in the garden. Hint! It isn't talking about an apple tree. That's not even in God's Word.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Those evil "trees" = souls, will be done away with. Heaven is called such, because no evil will be in it.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
You will know who is good or bad by what they say and do, judge righteously!
21 Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father Which is in heaven.
CONDITION! Those "that doeth the will" = follow the things of God, become part of "The kingdom of heaven" †
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?
They do many good things, but don't teach The Word, rather traditions of humans. They stick with prosperity, rapture, ishtar, etc. Just don't have time for God's Word in their lives.
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Our Father isn't going to put up with those that play church.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Christ Jesus is our Rock and He is our foundation, by Him we build our lives. Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, His work is perfect: for all His ways are judgment: A God of truth and without iniquity, Just and right is He. There is another that people build their lives on and he isn't my foundation. Deuteronomy 32:31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
When trouble comes, those in Christ = The Rock, overcome it all.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Ignoring Christ Jesus makes you a very foolish person indeed. So many want to feel good, anything goes church today. They just don't like what The Word has to say. Believe me, I talk too at least one a day.
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
The rain of lies have started and the flood is coming. If you refuse Christ Jesus and HIS WORDS, you WILL be deceived and fall right into satans traps. Without Christ in your life, you can NEVER find peace in this evil world and things WILL get to you.
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at His doctrine:
The eyes and ears of many had been opened to The Truth on The Sermon on the Mount.
29 For He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
And He did! He is God in the flesh and has all authority over ALL things. These scribes had no authority, they were infiltrators of evil. Can you judge evil accordingly? 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
