John 10
1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
The "sheepfold" is where you keep your sheep for protection at night. Christ Jesus is at the door of Truth, protecting His sheep. Anyone that tries to enter in any other way is a thief and a robber. The false doctrines that are out there attempt to rob you of The Way, The Truth.
2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
At the door is The Word, The Truth.
3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
The Shepherd, "porter" leads His sheep in the direction they are to go. [It's up to that sheep to follow and not stray off.]
4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
Notice He's not pushing them, but leading them. It's your choice.
5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
When you've been fed Truth, you shouldn't want to stray off, back to the lies of the world. You know when your being lied to and you don't like to hear the voices of deceptions.
6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.
Christ is our Shepherd, we are His flock. He's The Porter of the sheep gate, He leads us to The Truth. They can't wrap their heads around this parable.
7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
"Truly, truly" In Him is The Way to the sheepfold. Christ is explaining the parable to them. We will see, some will accept Him , some refuse.
8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
Those who came before Christ, claiming to be of God, claiming to be The Anointed One, were in fact, thieves and robbers; fakes.
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Christians can lead the "sheepfold" through The door = The Truth, because when you have The Truth = The Word, you're able to handle whatever may come in this world = "pasture". In The Word, you have true peace of mind. We follow The "porter" so we know how to do things and handle things the worldly minded just can't handle.
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The only reason for actions like lying, stealing and murdering is because you like evil, you follow death, you follow satan, yet Christ is coming to give The Way from that death, to life. Christ has come that we may have life well beyond what we have had. Deception is everywhere, but Truth is always there to lead you out of that deception. Out of the chains of satan. All you have to do is follow Christ through that door of Truth and into the "sheepfold" where you are protected.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
Do you hear anything about what God hates? Yes hates! Do you hear about the evil in the world? Do you hear about the events that must transpire before Christ comes? A "hireling" is someone that doesn't feed the flock The Word of God, Chapter for Chapter and verse by verse. They are full of sugar, no salt. They "preach" love, love, love every church service. Because they don't teach The full Word, wolves creep into the flock and destroy the sheep, causing them to run every which way, to every wind of false doctrine. If you follow The Shepherd, Christ Jesus, you know what to look for and if a wolf creeps in, you know Who to turn to. You understand what that wolf truly is and how to handle it. You can't be fooled because you're grounded in Truth.
13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
They don't care if you truly have The Truth. They're deceived themselves. They will lead the sheep to slaughter. The false doctrine being taught today will put you right in bed with satan. Christ Jesus is coming back for His virgin bride, but will find most whoring after the fake, instead of waiting on The True and it's because they were too busy hunting eggs in the field, or waiting on the ride out of here, instead of studying The Word, seeking The Truth. Those hirelings have them fooled!
14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
There are souls before the birth of Christ and souls after. All those that hear Him and follow, will become one of His fold.
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
Christ is letting them know He will be alive right after they have murdered Him.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
The Father gives Christ the authority to live again.
19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.
They are mixed in their beliefs of life after this flesh, but Christ sets them straight. He will live! The Pharisee believe in a life after death, but the Sadducee don't.
20 And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?
They're saying why should we listen to Him, He has an evil spirit. Have you ever taught The Truth of God in Meat? If yes, then you understand what it is Christ hears from them.
21 Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?
They knew a demon couldn't do that which Christ had done.
22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
You can read of this in The Apocrypha in The Book of 17Maccabees 4:52-59 and was a cleansing of the Temple because it had been defiled by Antiochus Epiphanes. 1 Maccabees 4:52-59 52 Now on the five and twentieth day of the ninth month, which is called the month Casleu, in the hundred forty and eighth year, they rose up betimes in the morning, 53 And offered sacrifice according to the law upon the new altar of burnt offerings, which they had made. 54 Look, at what time and what day the heathen had profaned it, even in that was it dedicated with songs, and citherns, and harps, and cymbals. 55 Then all the people fell upon their faces, worshipping and praising the God of heaven, who had given them good success. 56 And so they kept the dedication of the altar eight days and offered burnt offerings with gladness, and sacrificed the sacrifice of deliverance and praise. 57 They decked also the forefront of the temple with crowns of gold, and with shields; and the gates and the chambers they renewed, and hanged doors upon them. 58 Thus was there very great gladness among the people, for that the reproach of the heathen was put away. 59 Moreover Judas and his brethren with the whole congregation of Israel ordained, that the days of the dedication of the altar should be kept in their season from year to year by the space of eight days, from the five and twentieth day of the month Casleu, with mirth and gladness. This was also known as "the feast of the lights" and "the feast of the renewing", happening on December 25, 164 B.C. an eight day festival set by humans not God.
23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.
Christ stands on Solomon's porch where hirelings came to be placed into the priesthood by Solomon. These kenites with their doctrines and traditions taking hold of Gods House. These fakes sit in Moses seat. Matthew 23:1-3 1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, 2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: 3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
Christ had been telling them and showing them all along. It's the kenites that refuse to open their eyes to see and ears to hear that He is The Anointed One.
25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
They're the ones that should know the works of Christ because they were foretold in the manuscripts. They claim to be of Abraham holding the laws handed down from the seat of Moses. Christ has shown them, He is of His Father that sent Him, they just refuse.
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
Remember when Christ called them out? He told them who they were. He told
them the difference in those of His and those of the devil. John 8:47
He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye
are not of God. John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He
was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is
no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a
liar, and the father of it.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
EVERYONE can have life, but it is by Christ Jesus we are given that life. This flesh is but a second compared to eternity. Christ is The Way and no human can take Him from you, but you.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
Can you see Christ? Can you hear Him? Have you read His letter? Everything we need has been given. He showed us The Way and gave ALL He had. We have life and power in Him, because.
30 I and my Father are one.
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
Remember they tried this before. John 8:59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. Christ just told them He is The Way to eternal life and those who believe will have that life. Christ called them out on the fact they choice to ignore Him and all He has done and they again chose to react in a way that shows everyone who they are. His time wasn't yet.
32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
Which miracle from The Father did Christ do that would cause such a reaction from them?
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
Christ is telling them they are god's by their own words they claim to follow. Everyone is God's property as He is creator of every soul in the flesh. Christ is backing it up with scripture and thereby showing them He is following God. Christ is quoting, Psalm 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
They say Christ, The One sent to save the world from sin is a blasphemest because He says all children come from God and that He is The Son of God. How is that for their religious leadership?
37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
In other words, "If those miracles I preformed wasn't from God, then don't believe Me."
38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
The miracles should be all the evidence needed. They've seen them with their own eyes. They've talked to witnesses and they should go with that evidence. He is The Son of God, sent of God, The Anointed One, God in the flesh.
39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,
They're dumbfounded by Him. I can see them looking at each other like what do we say or do, while grabbing at Him while He walked away.
40 And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.
Back where Christ ministry began and The Holy Spirit showed everyone there, by that dove landing on Him and the announcement He is The Son of God. Matthew 3:16-17 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
41 And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.
Everything John the Baptist had said, had been true.
42 And many believed on him there.
There was nothing more to see or hear, the evidence was clear to many. This was The Son of God. The Anointed One, The Messiah spoken of in the scriptures and has come to give eternal life to those who believe.
