Matthew 22
1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
The King is God our Father, His Son is Christ Jesus and we are to be clean and ready for marriage.
3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
God sent out servants such as the Apostles to spread The Truth and many don't want to accept it.
4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
From the start, our Father has given us The Way.
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
People are ignoring The Truth and turning to their worldly ways instead.
6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
These would be the rest of those that wouldn't repent and change their ways. In context of the verse, it's the kenites.
7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
In the end, the remnant of evil will be gone.
8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
We need to get out there and tell others of Christ and their souls. More so now, than ever before!
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
Every race of humans have heard The Truth and each soul, good or bad will be held accountable.
11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
We will be clothed by our righteous acts. The fact is, some will be naked. Revelation 19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
This would be God talking to someone that made it through, but stand before Him naked. They stand before Him, void of any righteous acts.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth because they followed satan, rejecting God and The Way to life.
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle Him in His talk.
They're talking about how they can use Christ own words against Him. Go figure, people wanting to take The Truth out of context and twist it around. The biggest problem with Christians today is the fact they won't take the time to study, but will take a one verse Charlies word over the context of a subject matter. This is why so many fail to understand the depth of God's Word. Continuing on the milk, never growing. John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 1 Thessalonians 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. 3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
16 And they sent out unto Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that Thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest Thou for any man: for Thou regardest not the person of men.
The Herodians were a political party from Herod's court. They're trying to tell Christ what they believe He would want to hear, but Christ knows better than to be suckered in by sweet talk.
17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest Thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?
Well here comes a question after the sweet talk and they're temping Him to speak against the law of taxation.
18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye Me, ye hypocrites?
19 Shew Me the tribute money. And they brought unto Him a penny.
"Show me" and they did, now He is going to show them a thing or two.
20 And He saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?
21 They say unto Him, Caesar's. Then saith He unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
Caesar sat where he did because God allowed him to. God is in control and He lets us mess up if we chose to. We are given The path, but we must follow it to see the things of God.
22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left Him, and went their way.
23 The same day came to Him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked Him,
These Sadducees believe there was no life after death. Somewhat like those of today that believe you go into a hole in the ground, waiting for some event.
24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:
The oldest brother had no problem with her marrying another brother when he died.
26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.
She lived past all seven brothers.
27 And last of all the woman died also.
Then she died.
28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
They're playing games because they don't even believe in resurrection.
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
We must study Ezekiel 44 to understand the Millennium age, but look at things spiritually instead of fleshly and you can see all souls come from the same Father, in the end, my wife is my sister in Christ, but neither have gender in eternity.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
The angles in heaven have no gender and when we change at the instant we die, we require no gender either. The purpose of procreation isn't needed anymore. The act or process of procreating is reproduction, so why would we need it. Note "in heaven" and not on earth. When they left their habitation, they were able to procreate as in The Book of Genesis. How they did this I can only assume by the ways we do in this flesh, but don't know for sure.
31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
Christ is asking them if they have read The Scriptures and what God had to say about the resurrection of the dead.
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
When you're done with this flesh, it goes in the ground and your soul enters another body instantly and you go to He that made you. Don't listen to those that telling you otherwise. They're ignorant of The Word.
33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at His doctrine.
34 But when the Pharisees had heard that He had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.
The Pharisees agreed with Christ on the subject of life after death. They liked seeing the Sadducees put in their place on this.
35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked Him a question, tempting Him, and saying,
A scripture lawyer that will twist words around trying to trick Christ.
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
This scripture lawyer is asking which one of the ten is the greatest.
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Christ Jesus answers and covers all five spiritual commandments and you keep this one then you keep the first five.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
If you love God, you of course love others.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
These two commandments cover all of the commandments that the prophets taught. If you love The Lord God, you keep all the spiritual laws and if you love your neighbor you don't steal or covet his property or spouse. The first five commandments are spiritual, the second five are civil.
41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose Son is He? They say unto Him, The son of David.
They know Christ means The Anointed One.
43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call Him Lord, saying,
44 The Lord said unto My Lord, Sit Thou on My right hand, till I make thine enemies Thy footstool?
They won't have any idea to answer, even when they knew this verse from, Psalm 110:1 Christ is Lord!
45 If David then call Him Lord, how is He his Son?
46 And no man was able to answer Him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask Him any more questions.
