Luke 11
1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
Prayer is talking to our Father.
2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
Some say this is "The Lords Prayer" but its in fact Christ showing His disciples how to pray. "Our Father Which art in heaven", that's where He is. "Hallowed" = Holy is His name. The kingdom = King and His dominion; we ask our Father and His dominion to be with us on earth. We ask His will be done right here in us, just as in heaven.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
Fleshly this is food for our body's, but spiritually this is The Word of God for our souls. The manual for life everlasting.
4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
If we expect God to forgive us, we had better forgive others. Our Father gives us the power to withstand fleshly temptations and in Christ name, evil runs.
5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;
Who do you know would open their door at midnight and feed you?
6 For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?
Someone has arrived and when you look in your kitchen, nothing is there.
7 And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.
Your neighbor won't help you because they feel it would bother their family. At this time the family all sleep in one room and you had to cross over one another to go anywhere.
8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.
This friend just won't help you in your time of need. He doesn't want to be bothered by you. Our Father on the other hand is there when we ask.
9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Notice you can't just sit there and wine about things. You MUST get up and do things. On the way, God will provide what you need [if] you ask.
11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
If a dad is asked by his child for bread, do they give them a stone? If we ask for "Bread" = Truth from our Father, He will give it.
12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Even an evil person will give to their children. Christians know for a fact The Holy Spirit = our Comforter is given to us if we ask. You had better believe, He WILL send it!
14 And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.
This possessed person had an evil spirit in them. That person could speak once it was cast out.
15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.
"Beelzebub" = "lord of the flies" or another name for death = satan.
16 And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.
After all Christ had done, they want yet another sign.
17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.
Reading their minds, Christ told them that things that fight against itself can't and won't stay together. It will fall apart. Christ is asking, would satan cast out his own that work with him in his same goals?
18 If satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.
19 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.
They don't believe in Christ, so they follow the kenite way as their dads do and do satans work.
20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.
Many had seen Christ work and could see clearly, He was The Spirit of The Kingdom of God. These kenites didn't want to see He Who was right in front of them. Same as today! If God came walking by many of us, we wouldn't see His shining Glory because of the blinders we have put over our eyes.
21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:
If satan's house was where it should have been, Christ wouldn't have had to cast the evil out of the dumb person.
22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
When you put Christ in your life, evil can't overcome you. If you let satan take you from The Truth = your armour, you WILL fall.
23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.
NO GRAY AREA! You either follow God or you don't. Many are scattered today by FALSE doctrines because they won't give more than a hour a week to Him.
24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
If you don't fill the one that had an evil spirit with The Truth of God, that evil will enter right back into that person. They must accept and follow The Truth or satan will fill the void.
25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
The person possessed with that evil spirit has become swept and garnished. They're now empty and what they put in from that point on, they'll put out in life.
26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
Without filling that open space with God, even worse can enter in. Without focusing on God, you chance evil taking hold sometime during your day.
27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
Staying in context of verse 27, the most important factor wasn't so much that Christ came, but what He brought and gave us ALL †
29 And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
Jonah was in the belly of the great fish 3 days and nights just as Christ would be in the tomb 3 days and 3 nights after His crucifixion.
30 For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
Ref. to The "queen of the south" = queen of Sheba, I Kings 10-1-13. She knew the prophecies of Solomon and coming of The Redeemer, Christ Jesus. He stops short of letting them know Who He is.
32 The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
Jonah spoke and the Spirit of God opened the peoples minds. The Spirit of God, The Word Christ Jesus is standing right in front of their eyes.
33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
The Word of Truth is given to you, not to hold in secret, but to spread around, that others my see clearly The Path out of darkness.
34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
What you put in, you put out. The eye is the mirror of the soul and with The Holy Spirit in you, your spirit can reach others bringing them to The Truth.
35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
Upon REPENTANCE you are a new person. What you put into that person will make you or break you. It will create a bright light or a dark dead vessel for your soul.
37 And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.
38 And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner.
This was a ritual, not what we do for cleanliness before we eat like today. It was a religious tradition created by these kenites. Christ wasn't going to have any part of it.
39 And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.
The tradition looks good, but has no real meaning. Christ wants to know why clean the flesh when their soul is so dirty = evil.
40 Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?
You can scrub the outside all you want, but until you give your soul to God, your whole mind, body and soul is filthy.
41 But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.
They scrub their flesh, never cleansing their soul, thinking they can buy their way into heaven.
42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
There are many like these Pharisees in today's world. They believe if they "are nice" = in their own eyes and spend money and help people, they have a way to heaven. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
43 Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.
They love the attention and the feeling of being above others.
44 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.
The grounds look as pretty manicured lawns, but death lays beneath.
45 Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.
They just said Christ was of Beelzebub and now they want to know why He insults them.
46 And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.
They twist things so badly the people can't understand and then they place the people in bondage with their traditions.
47 Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
48 Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.
That's the kenites for you.
49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:
This is referencing 2 Chronicles 24:19-21 19 Yet he sent prophets to them, to bring them again unto the Lord; and they testified against them: but they would not give ear. 20 And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the Lord, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the Lord, he hath also forsaken you. 21 And they conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of the house of the Lord.
50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;
The kenites shed the blood starting with Abel and continue even today with Christians.
51 From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.
Matthew 13:38-40 38 The field is the world; and good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; [satan] 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. This happens right after after the great white throne of judgment. These kenites are done away with forever. Those of that line that have repented and followed Christ will have life, so don't think for a second they all are done away with.
52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.
Their twisting and traditions that have put others in bondage won't hold any longer. It's up to each of us to seek The Truth no matter what anyone has to say.
53 And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:
They went nuts when Christ laid it on them. That's the thing when The Truth hits evil, salt burns! Today we have so much sugar being taught; an everything goes approach has taken hold and it has put people right back into traditions of lies.
54 Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.
The Truth speaks for itself. Rather someone likes it or not, DON'T change a thing about it or you have become one of them, a scripture twister and someone of no use for others to see the light, but one that drags others into darkness.
