Hebrews 8
1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
To sum up everything, Melchisedec, Christ Jesus our high Priest sits at The right hand of God in heaven.
2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
Christ is our sanctuary, our tabernacle.
3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
This man, Christ Jesus, offered more than any of us could ever offer. He gave us His Word of life and then His life for His Word. His Word in the end is our way to salvation. He defeated death when He said "it is finished". All Things are Accomplished. Jesus has completed all the work His Father has given Him. John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the spirit.
4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
Christ didn't do as those priest because He was be the gift.
5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
What was then, you had to give your prayers that had to be taken in The Holy of Holies. What is now, Christ opened it for ALL to enter in. Our Father hears you! You don't need some spectacle or ritual to speak to God or have your voice heard. God is waiting to hear from us whenever we want to. He hears our every thought.
6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
The covenant of God still stands, but with much more for those that love Him and follow Him. If you're alive today, you are blessed! We have Christ Jesus and with Him we can stand.
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
If the law was all we needed, we wouldn't have had to have our Father come in the flesh to show us The Way.
8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
This hasn't happened yet, but will very soon. VERY SOON! This is referring to Jeremiah 31:31-34
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
This covenant coming isn't like when Moses lead them out of Egypt. The one coming is when ALL will know He is God and All will love Him.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
This comes in the Millennium age of time.
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
In the Millennium, everyone will know The Truth The Way it was meant to be.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
During the Millennium, our Father will be fair. For those that didn't have a chance to hear The Truth, they will during this time. With all the junk = false teachings out there today, some just don't have a chance to hear The Truth. Some even have a slumber placed on them for their own protection. Ref. Romans 11:8
13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
Christ is ours today and will ALWAYS be ours tomorrow.
