Matthew 26

1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, He said unto His disciples,

2 Ye know that after two days is the feast of the Passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

3 Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,

"Caiaphas" = depression, appointed by a Roman Governor not by God. A kenite in the place of a high priest.

4 And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill Him.

Going to be hard for many to believe, but in today's world the church community would do the same. When The Truth is spoken, no one wants to hear it. They didn't like what Christ Jesus had to say. It went against the traditions they had placed in the churches at that time. Try teach The Truth to a church today. They are going to attack you because they don't know The Word like they think they do. This is why God finds favor in two of the seven churches. What they teach and do with it.

5 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.

In other words, Let's not kill Jesus on the feast day. It just won't look good. We will kill Him after. Do you understand how deception works? Do you have the eyes to see and ears to hear The Truth? Can you tell who and what is a fake?

6 Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,

"Simon the leper" of  Matthew 21:1-11

7 There came unto Him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on His head, as He sat at meat.

This is the second anointing of Christ. Christ means "Anointed One". We that accept Him are anointed by Him. There is power in Anointing in Christ Jesus Yahshua's name! Praise God!

8 But when His disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?

It's not about the things of the world. She understood that. It's about Christ Jesus and His sacrifice for us all.

9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

The disciples couldn't see what was more valuable than the worldly thing. It's never what you have, it's what you do with it from the heart. Priorities! She knew what was important to her and pursued it regardless of what others thought.

10 When Jesus understood it, He said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon Me.

It's what she is doing they should focus on.

11 For ye have the poor always with you; but Me ye have not always.

12 For in that she hath poured this ointment on My body, she did it for My burial.

She stood at a higher standing at this point than all the disciples. Perhaps they just couldn't get passed our Lord sacrificing Himself for us all. They wanted Him forever. We do! We have that choice of what was given. Life! What would you sacrifice for the gift of life?

13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.

And now we know. Has your "church" ever told you of her? Has your "church" ever taught about anointing? There is power within.

14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,

15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver Him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

Judas was just like the churches of today. "How much will you give"? For the cost of a slave, he sold Christ Jesus. The kenites didn't care what it cost. They would pay anything. The churches of today don't care to feed you The Word, they care about what you put in their plates. I've seen some pass it twice! They're selling souls to the devil today and people are paying them to do it.

16 And from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.

Money in hand, Judas set up the time and place for the "church leaders" to capture Jesus as to kill Him.

17 Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto Him, Where wilt Thou that we prepare for Thee to eat the passover?

This is the fourteenth of Nisan, the first month of the Jewish calendar. Ref. Numbers 28:17. This is the day to prepare. The next is Passover. What many like to call "easter", which is twisted from a pagan goddess. Christ is our Passover and the feast that we partake of is in the Communion.          1 Corinthians 5:7  Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:  Would you let a stranger lie to your child with fairylands while saying they are of God? I hope NOT! Then don't let your church celebrate "easter". Come to the understanding about its origins. Understand why it was put in the Bible one time and not everywhere else Passover is elected to be used. Look at the bunny, eggs and teachings of your "pastor" in line with The Truth of God. Is there deception within? Is it really about "the children"?

18 And He said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto Him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with My disciples.

The day was prepared.

19 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

The feast of the unleavened bread.

20 Now when the even was come, He sat down with the twelve.

21 And as they did eat, He said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray Me.

It was planned by God, every detail of it. We are to leave the judging of Judas to the Father, he repented and God will judge in condemnation.

22 And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto Him, Lord, is it I?

"Christians" today question how could anyone betray Jesus. So many are about to because they are waiting on their "rapture". The setup to follow satan.

23 And He answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with Me in the dish, the same shall betray Me.

24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of Him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

Judas was chosen and had a destiny to fulfill this purpose in God's plan.

25 Then Judas, which betrayed Him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

Sounds just like some today. They do evil things and then want you to believe it wasn't them when you know it was. We can't hide anything from God.

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is My body.

Here we have the Holy Communion. Symbolic of His body, He received the stripes and crucifixion, we receive the healing when we believe on His name.

27 And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

As in our belief, it better be all or nothing.  Revelation 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.

28 For this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Old covenant blood was the blood of animals, but Jesus sealed that covenant with His own blood; once and for all times. The blood sacrifices were an ordinance. Today, that is gone. We have Jesus. When anything is repented, in Jesus name, it is over and done with.

29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom.

30 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

The "Hallewlu-Yah" chapters; Psalm 115, 116, 117, and 118

31 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of Me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

This was the plan and it has brought blessings to many that have chosen to listen. The Word is in the world, all we have to do is open it and study.

32 But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

You would think they would all go there and wait. They didn't! After The Lord tells you something, you had better believe it.

33 Peter answered and said unto Him, Though all men shall be offended because of Thee, yet will I never be offended.

Though I believe Peter believed that himself, when it came down to seeing what happened to Christ, his flesh overtook his faith. Christ knew better.

34 Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny Me thrice.

And after the resurrection, Peter came back to Christ Jesus repenting three times. Peter would be the one Christ would build His church.

35 Peter said unto Him, Though I should die with Thee, yet will I not deny Thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

The disciples didn't hold up when they should have. Fear set in. Are you ready for what is about to take place? Will you stand against the evil to come? Many aren't prepared with the understanding of who comes first and will therefore fold just as the disciples did. We have been told and we that are of the elect will overcome satan claiming to be The True Christ but isn't. The rest will be waiting on that "rapture".  1 Cor. 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples [examples]: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.

Christ is asking His disciples to wait while He, the Son of man, goes to speak to the office of the Father.

37 And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

Christ knew what was to come. He understood the sacrifice He was about to give and the reason for it. He knew many would reject Him even today. How would you feel if you were about to give your life for someone and they wouldn't care?

38 Then saith He unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with Me.

39 And He went a little farther, and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me: nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou wilt.

Although He knew the sacrifice that must be made He feels the pain to come. He knew it be The will of God. You have to understand the offices of God as not to let the trinity loose meaning. Don't let it trip you up.

40 And He cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with Me one hour?

They couldn't watch His back for one hour. For us today, can you watch for Him and that hour to come; that "Hour of temptation"? Those with The Truth know what to watch for. They know who comes first and won't find him tempting.  Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

You should know by now how we escape temptation. We have been learning His warnings long enough everyone should know.

42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O My Father, if this cup may not pass away from Me, except I drink it, Thy will be done.

Christ Jesus knew it would be good that His death would bring life. All we have to do is believe in Him. Then Repent, Study and Follow His Word.

43 And He came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

Their emotions where overtaking them. It was wearing them out, spiritually. Don't let the world overtake you. Stay focused on The Truth. If you're awake you can see the rule of law is gone. That evil one has been given control of politics, religion, education and economics. Some will see these things and get depressed, some will ignore it all together and some will fight the good fight. Guess what a REAL Christian will do, AWAKE?

44 And He left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

45 Then cometh He to His disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Because of His sacrifice, we have rest. As a Christian, we rest EVERYDAY in The Lord today, not one day a week like most want to think.  Our bodies need one day of rest ,but our minds/souls rest in The Truth Always.

46 Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray Me.

Just as Christ Jesus is betrayed, so shall you that hold to The Truth. Ref. Matthew 24:9-10, Mark 13:12 and Luke 21:16. In Luke 21:16,  when you teach The Truth, people say it is hate speech, when in fact they just hate The Truth. Matthew 24:9-10  9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for My name's sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

47 And while He yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

They came to do battle. They were looking for any reason to kill Christ Jesus on the spot if need be. The disciples had their weapons ready. There, of course, was a different purpose in mind that must take place.

48 Now he that betrayed Him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is He: hold Him fast.

This is the same way people do others today. They act like they care and at the same time will turn you over to satans workers in a heartbeat.  Remember Matthew 24:9-10

49 And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed Him.

50 And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus and took Him.

Psalm 41:9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heal against me. (Judas!)  Psalm 41:10 But thou, O Lord, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, That I may requite them. God did raise Jesus up and made all His prophecy come to pass.

51 And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.

Have you ever thought about this? The disciples carried weapons because they went to some pretty bad places. It's for protection! Our Father does everything naturally. At this particular time the protection wasn't needed. There was a purpose in the works. The sword being drawn by all would not have brought about what must be.

52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

He didn't want a war at this time because He knew there was a purpose for Judas's actions and it was to be His sacrifice for us all. He left us The Sword, His Words! It cuts both ways.  Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to My Father, and Me shall presently give Me more than twelve legions of angels?

Christ is letting them know it must happen. He has already shown who He is, so what makes anyone think it doesn't need to be done.

54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

These things must come to pass, that the scriptures be fulfilled.  Ref. Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth.

55 In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take Me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on Me.

Christ had sat with these with their swords and pitchforks giving them The Word of God. They let the evil creep into their minds to come against Him.

56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook Him, and fled.

57 And they that had laid hold on Jesus led Him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

We had said in 26:3 that "Caiaphas" = depression, appointed by a Roman Governor not by God. A kenite in the place of a high priest.

58 But Peter followed Him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

I believe he went because he was strong and Peter wanted to prove he wouldn't deny Christ. But we know he will and does. He lets the fear of what a human could do to his body overtake his soul. Matthew 26:34 Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny Me thrice.

59 Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put Him to death;

They flat out lied! That's what you call it when people lie, not "mistruths" as they do today.

60 But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,

Out of all that came to lie against God, only two did it. We had all better think twice before we lie. God is watching!

61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

This person is doing what a lot do today; taking things out of context. As in John 2:19 is of course talking about His body.  John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

62 And the high priest arose, and said unto Him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against Thee?

This kenite is saying, "don't you have anything to say" when in fact his evil has blinded him where he can't see The Truth of what Christ had said.

63 But Jesus held His peace, And the high priest answered and said unto Him, I adjure thee by the living God, that Thou tell us whether Thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

Christ Jesus isn't going to say anything because He knew what must be done.  Isaiah 53:7 As a sheep before the shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth.

64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard His blasphemy.

This kenite put on a show to drag more into following their evil. What seemed like truth because of his actions was a trick to deceive. We have the same things going on today in Education, Religion, Economics and Politics.

66 What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.

After the kenites show, they went right along with him. Evil will get the crowd going and then sit back and watch. Eyes to see?

67 Then did they spit in His face, and buffeted Him; and others smote Him with the palms of their hands,

This religious community is spitting and slapping an innocent person. They lack The Truth and want no part of Him. Seems we are here today. I can go into a church and preach The Word and they will hate it. Believe me! I've done it.

68 Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote Thee?

These where just mocking Christ. This kind of evil doesn't need Truth because they reject it, they were in need of something else.  I'm sure they see it different now! Learn from it!

69 Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.

Here was Peter chance to stand up as a Christian.

70 But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.

71 And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.

This will be the second denial from Peter.

72 And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.

The oath, "I do not know the man". The second denial.

73 And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.

This will be the third denial from Peter.

74 Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.

This showed Peter The Truth and power of God. We should see it also. What He says will happen is going to happen. Many will reject The True Christ because they have jumped in bed with satan believing he is Christ. We have covered this in Revelations, 1 & 2 Thess., Mark, Matthew, Luke, etc.

75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny Me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

Many will deny Christ in that hour of temptation = satan here claiming to be Christ. They even call themselves "Christians". Peter was ashamed at what he had done. It is for us to see that we must not let the flesh overtake our spirit. Hold strong Christians! We have The Truth and The Power that comes with it. Use it!
