1 Corinthians 13
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
Paul speaks The Truth in all three levels. He is able to teach to humans from babes to adults and that spiritual level in which angels would understand. But without love, it would be as a ringing sound that fades away.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
Without love, all your gifts are worth nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Love is from the heart. If you don't feel for others and bring them Truth, you have nothing to truly offer. So many in this world conform, they won't speak The Truth of God in fear of hurting someone feelings. That's not love, that's fear of self. You're afraid of how they'll feel about you.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
True love is for others without being recognized for it. If you're doing it for recognition it's called bribery.
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Love doesn't fight about those insignificant things of the world. The Truth stands on it's own. Be kind and loving as much as it is possible with others because we don't know exactly what the problem may be. Just don't conform to their behavior, be tactful and loving.
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
True love believes, seeks hope and can endure it all until the end. Christians are can do children of God.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
Everything God has told us will come to pass, every language will become one different from this age and all we think we know will not matter in the end, but love will continue forever.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
Knowing half, you talk about half. While in these flesh bodies we will never know the whole of what is there.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
The small parts we know will become whole on The 7th Trump, The Lord's day, The perfect One's return.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
A new Christian can only handle the milk of The Word, but as they grow in The Word they feed on The meat, growing in understanding of the differences between the world and The Truth. Knowing what to put away from them and what to seek more of.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
While in this flesh, we're still limited as to what we are allowed to see and understand. The day we are face to face with our Lord, everything will be clearly opened to us.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
With love and I mean true love, everything else falls in place.
