Hebrews 4

1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

When you repent, you can rest at that moment. It's done and you're forgiven. Study as to learn right from wrong. Walk The right path.

2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Keep listening! Things are about to get very interesting.

3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Before satan became the evil he is, God knew He was going to prepare a way for rest. Christ would come that we may have that peace of mind.

4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

The body needs a day of rest, but the mind needs it every day. Only Christ can bring that kind of rest and with repentance you can have it. With the world on fire with evil and chaos all around us, a soothing peace can take over your mind when we repent of our sins and know if our day is now, we have victory.

6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

You won't enter into peace unless you believe. How do you grow that peace of mind? Stay in His Word, EVERYDAY!

7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

Wont you listen .........Today?

8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

The body is one thing, but the spirit is another. Rest your body one day a week as to finish the week, rest your mind in The Lord EVERYDAY!

9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

ONLY with Christ can this be possible. ONLY with Christ in you, can we be at rest in an evil world.

10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Into the rest of Christ. We can rest in The Truth.

11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Before rest must come labour. The body doesn't need rest if it hasn't done something first. The mind is the same way. Seek God, Seek The Word.  Our minds work overtime in the world we have today. Many let it get to them and over whelm them. With Faith and study you will see things for what they are and understand the reasons behind them. With repentance we can be at peace knowing the outcome of ourselves.

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

This "open" was the cutting of the throat for a sacrifice to God. The following verse confirms this. Christ Jesus the last sacrifice.

14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

The last sacrifice for ALL. The only thing is you must accept Him into your heart, then the actions in your life.

15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

God in the flesh has shown us the way to live. He wouldn't ask anything of us that He Himself wouldn't do. Christians are Can do children of God!

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

There is another condition here. You must be the one to go to Him. He is always waiting for us.
