Hebrews 1
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Without those that God placed in time past, The Word wouldn't have been written and taught throughout time. Without you, The Word wouldn't continue to those in your life.
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Through Christ we are given The Word to live by, bringing eternal life. Look closely at the word "worlds." Did you know there were three world ages? Ref. 2 Peter Ch. 3 and did you know you're in the second? The Massorah shows us the world "became waste and without form", "tohu va bohu". Ephesians 1:4-5 4 According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world,that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: 5 Having predestinated ["predestined" Greek ="from a prior time"],us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will. This shows us "before the foundation" of this world age where He chose His Elect. Romans 8:30 Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called: He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified.: Justified - 1344 dikaioo (dik-ah-yo'-o); from 1342; to render (i.e. show or regard as) just or innocent: KJV-- free, justify (-ier), be righteous. Why where these chosen? They stood against satan in the first earth age, that's why. Remember satan wasn't created evil, he chose to go that way. Ezekiel 28:12-15 12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. "The Word" in the beginning of creation is God. "The Word that became flesh and dwelt" on the earth as a man, He IS The Word = Christ Jesus and when we see Christ and His glory, we see The Father.
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Christ Jesus Yahshua = "the salvation of Yehovah" has many names, but not one created of God could be who He is = "Emmanuel" = "God (El) with us." Not one could bring life everlasting like He has.
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
"BEGOTTEN" = office of the Son. Christ is the perfect likeness of our Father himself. It was The plan all along for the second earth age. Genesis 3:15 And I [God] will put enmity between thee [satan] and the woman [Eve], and between thy seed [the Kenites] and her Seed [Jesus Christ]; It [Jesus Christ] shall bruise thy [satan's] head, and thou [satan] shalt bruise His [Jesus Christ's] heel. If you understand what this "seed" is, you have the key of David and have favor if you teach it. This "seed" isn't something that falls to the ground to grow into a plant, it's satans sperm. Eyes to see and ears to hear. This "enmity" = division of the twins. That's right, Cain and Able were twins. You're seeing it right here. In this verse is the first prophecy of The Bible. Christ crucifixion and satans defeat.
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
On the first day of the Millennium age of time, every soul will worship Christ Jesus Yahshua.
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
Psalm 104:4 Who maketh His angels spirits; His ministers a flaming fire. The angels are the servants of the Father and God's Son the heir. The ministers then and now teaching The Word of God bringing that flame of fire = The Word of God to the ears of humans in this age of time.
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
God is telling us Christ's throne and His kingdom will always be and it will always be right. You want a life that is good? You follow His way, The Way to that throne. I don't care how good you "think" you are, without God you are dead. You can't have life and have it abundantly without Christ. You can't have it like fast food. It's not your way, or this age wouldn't be necessary to weed out evil. Will you pass the test or give up, giving in because you decided your to weak to hold to The Truth and the things of God. Lets face it! Those that turn from God are only looking for any excuses to do what they know God says they shouldn't do.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
If you know what evil is, you do your best to follow good. To do that you study God's Word EVERYDAY and walk the path He set forth. Christ is The Anointed One.
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
You either believe Christ was there when the foundations were laid or you don't. Christ is The Right hand of God. Colossians 1:16-17 16 For by him were all things created, that are in the heaven, and in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 and he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
This flesh age will perish = die of this flesh, but as Christ was in His new body after Resurrection, so will we have a new body. 1 Cor. 15:36-44 36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: 37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. 39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
Christ is the same today, tomorrow and forever. We are changed spiritually when we accept Christ, and physically upon our death or at the 7th trump. Matthew 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and His face did shine as the sun, and His raiment was white as the light. Jesus was transfigured on that mount of transfiguration, and He showed His disciples that the grave could not hold Him. He defeated death = satan and showed us it can't hold us. Christ showed Himself to His own, but told them not to tell anyone until after He would be crucified and risen again. Matthew 17:9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.
13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
NONE!....... CHRIST IS THE ONLY ONE!
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
All REAL Christians are "ministering spirits" telling everyone they can about the sacrifice of God, that gives life today.
