2 Corinthians 5

1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

The tabernacle was a tent and now buildings made of stone. Our souls are in this earthly flesh = tabernacle, but will have a new temple in heaven. A new body. 1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

We want this house from heaven because it will last where a tent will fade and deteriorate. It's permanent! These souls will have a permanent home.

3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

Our righteous acts cloth us, What you do while in this flesh will determine if you're clothed or naked in the life to come. Stay focused on The Truth until our Lord arrives at the 7th trump. Revelation 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. If you look down and you're in this earthly flesh body, it's not our Lord everyone is following. Stay focused in The Truth!

4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

Worry is of the devil, it shows a lack of faith, but its natural we groan about things of this flesh. When we give our worries over to God, follow Him in His Word, we know that in Christ, death is swallowed up for good. We live forever. 1 Corinthians 15:54-55  54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.  55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

Remember "earnest" is a guarantee. In Christ, we are guaranteed a new body, clothed by our righteous acts with life everlasting.

6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

While in this earthly flesh, physically you're not there with God.

7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

There is no doubts in our minds, when we die of this earthly flesh, at that instance we are physically with God.

9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Don't fool yourself. There isn't any way around it. You're going to meet your maker. The day is fast approaching us all. It's very important we see the important things in this life. Tv, football, partying and shopping isn't it. The Word of God brings true happiness, Christ Jesus is life and peace of mind in an evil world.

11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

Our consciences should be kicking in everyday if we refuse The Truth of God. Those who hold to The Truth, teach it in the hopes those that refuse it will change before it's too late.

12 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.

Many will lie about anything to bring fame and or fortune to themselves. Not a True Pastor. It's about souls not self. The Truth has in itself faith. You study what you see and it grows your faith in that which you cannot see. I don't claim to know everything, but many are being fooled by fakes today. It was no different in Paul's day. This is why the church was splitting.

13 For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.

The world may hate the fact we teach life after death and that life can only be obtained through Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit has given us eyes to see this because we have shown the love for Him in His Word. Nothing is opened to those that won't give Him time. 1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

Although this flesh will die, we that believe in Christ Jesus shall live.

15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

Christ died that may live forever.

16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

Paul walked with Christ and after the cross, Christ had risen, not to walk in that flesh again. Christ has a new body, that spiritual body.

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

ONLY through Christ can you be reconciled. Only in Christ can you have life. Christ gives life to this Ministry, that in Him His Truths be told daily. I pray it is His Spirit that is conveyed through these teachings and not my words or thoughts. "Reconciled" καταλλάσσω katallássō, kat-al-las'-so; from G2596 and G236; to change mutually, i.e. (figuratively) to compound a difference:—reconcile, to receive one into favour.

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Christ sacrifice on the cross is what reconciles us back to God because, John 10:30 I and my Father are one. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

God has created a new ambassador for Himself through you. You're to go tell the world of the good news you have learned from the ambassadors for Christ that you have learned from. The Holy Spirit giving you the understanding of course.

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Christ Jesus, The Only One never to sin, became the last sacrifice for all time. He gave Himself, for every soul that passes through this flesh. We have no other way to be forgiven, made new in righteousness in our Fathers eyes. It's ONLY through the blood of Christ. He paid the price for us all. We must open the door and invite Him into our lives though. We must make the change and open our hearts to The Truth. He offered Himself for you. Hebrew 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.  Isaiah 53:4-6  4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.  5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.  6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He did it for you
