Hebrews 9

1 Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

"Worldly sanctuary", temporary. All the acts of the blood ordinances are gone. Christ sacrifice is everlasting.

2 For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

This was then.

3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

"Holiest of all" = "Holy of Holies" The priest would go to talk to God. This second veil is the one rent from top to bottom upon Christ giving up His spirit.

4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

The "pot" that held the "manna" to remind them of Gods mercy, supplying their needs. The "rod" leading them the way, "budded" forever living.

5 And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

I believe these two are satan and Michael. satan described in Eze. 28:14, his other name, the prince of Tyrus. Michael because these two battle shortly. Ezekiel 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.  Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

6 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

The duties of the priest were a futuristic look of what Christ would be to us and what Christians are to do today. We can all enter into The Tabernacle of Christ Jesus body today. We walk daily in Him. To be Christian is to be Christ like. He set the path to take and you wont know it if you don't open His Word to see it.

7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

Before Christ, the high priest would take your sins and prayers into the temple and though the second veil. Into the Holy of Holies.

8 The Holy Spirit this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

The way for all of us to enter into The Holy of Holies wasn't until Christ gave up His spirit and the veil was rent = torn from top to bottom.  Matthew 27:50-51  50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.  51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

This would be the old tabernacle. Christ is our Tabernacle today.

10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

These things are done away with. Don't get confused with the law as it still stands. It's the ordinances that are gone. Christ reforms us. I have been to some "churches" that have so many rituals there is no time for God's Word. Chants and traditions that have nothing to do with The Truth or that will lead someone to know it.

11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

If it did, why did Christ need die on the cross for us. I also ask those that believe we need to be baptized to be saved this question.

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Can you hear Him? He is calling you to Him right now!

16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

It was told to us what must be and it was done. Christ came to die for you and me. A necessity for US! Do you believe?

17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

We are dead until we hear the great news of Christ and accept Him. Let others know about Him or you're helping them stay dead.

18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

That blood just couldn't pay the full price. Only Christ Jesus blood could do that.

19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

Moses speaking.

21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

This was Moses.

22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

All things could only be done by the purging of a blood sacrifice.

23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

When Christ came from the heavens, He came that there be a better sacrifice for us. A true way for our lives to change.

24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

Once that veil was rent open, there was no need of a building to worship God. Christ is our way, The Way! You can have Him right where you are.

25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

Others as in animals.

26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Christ blood gave us The way. Little did satan, know in the beginning, he had already lost.

27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Within that judgement comes reward or punishment. We each have the choice in what we want to have that be. The right choice can begin today.

28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

He came as the lamb to be slain. He's coming as The Lion to rule. Why wait another second? Repent in Christ Jesus name, be forgiven, be at peace.
