Romans 2

1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

We will be held accountable for the way we judge. If we do those things we know are wrong while telling someone its wrong, we will be judged for it. Matthew 7 tells us how to judge. Don't be a hypocrite.

2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

Our Father is fair to everyone. What we put in, we put out and He will give reward or punishment accordingly.

3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

If you're telling someone not to do something you're doing yourself, do you really think you're not going to be held accountable for judging that person?

4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

The patience of our Father should show us to do the same with others. He is longsuffering, wants us all to change and seek Him and His Word. He waits for our repentance.

5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

If we think we are above learning for everything, we become conformed to those of the world. We should have an open eye and heart to everything. Look on them with a what if attitude. Stay Positive!

6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

Judge will do the condemning, leave that to Him.

7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

Our decisions will put us on the directions we chose. What we put in, we put out. Make sure it's God's Truth and you will live by Truth. You will have eternal life.

8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

God isn't going to force anyone to listen or obey The Truth. He lets you go your way. 2 Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

The ones to hold the laws and ordinances of God are the Israelite, the ones responsible for passing it on. But we today are held to our own accountability. Do you have time for God? Do you follow His commandments?

10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

Follow Him and reward is yours.

11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

God is fair and will look at everyone individually when He judges us.

12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

Within the laws of nature are the common sense ways we should go. Even if you ignore those laws, you'll be judge accordingly. If you ignore looking both ways before crossing a street, you risk getting hit. Breaking the law and punishment is yours. Follow it, reward!

13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

There will always be hearers and doers. God will give them all what they ask for.

14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

Within our conscience lives common sense and in it lives the wisdom of knowing right and wrong. Those will be judged by that conscience within.

15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

Our conscience works just as The Law in bringing us to repentance or in the case of a unbeliever, to apologize to another they have wronged.

16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

That judgment day is fast approaching. Many run but don't realize they're on a treadmill. They're moving but not going anywhere. Repent and follow The Lord

17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,

You say you study and are very knowledgeable in The Word.

18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;

You know all those things our Father has told us to do and follow in His Law.

19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,

You say you're one of those of The Word, leading others to The Truth.

20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.

You think you're a Preacher, teacher, an educated sower of God.

21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?

These teach it but don't live it.

22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

adultery = cheating on your spouse and even worse The Lord. He is expecting a virgin when He comes on that 7th trump. Many will be whoring after satan instead. "sacrilege" = a temple robber = a so called teacher of God's Word who'll take a salary, yet teaches very little to nothing.

23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?

Hypocrite!

24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

The unbelievers see the things you do while calling yourself a child of God. Don't get me wrong, many look for a reason to reject God and most will use anything to do so, but there are those who need to see Gods Truth in you. Walk the walk that you talk!

25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.

We can repent and become that new person in Christ, but if we continue doing the same old things as before, we make vain the sacrifice He has given. What good are you if you turn your back on God while calling yourself a Christian. Repent daily and live it

26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?

They don't know The Law, The Word of Truth and aren't expected to follow it. But those that say their Christian had better get to work. There's no excuse.

27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?

These Gentiles that live by their conscience will be better off than those Christians that know The Law of God and ignore it.

28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

The tribe or race you are has nothing to do with your reward or punishment. It's what is inside our thoughts that counts.

29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

You do what is right in the sight of God and you're just like one of Israel. You've become spiritual circumcised. Don't think for a second that without Christ you're saved. He came to complete The Law and therefore is The Law, but if you lack understanding of Him yet do good, rejecting evil, you are as one of Israel.
