James 4
1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
When your wants are about the fleshly things, you will always be at war with yourself and others.
2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
Without God being truly in your life, you will seek everything of the world never finding fulfillment. It will bring only death. Look how many claim to be Christian seeking the things of the world and never finding peace. Stop and relax your mind. Put your focus back on the things of God. Put your thought back into His Word. The Word of TRUTH!
3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
God isn't going to answer those that look to gratify themselves. Ask Him all you want to. Things of the flesh are for the worldly not the spiritual. Our Father sees your needs and He will supply them. Everything else is gray.
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
You want to agree with what the world says is good, then you reject what God says is bad. Your NOT a Christian. I run into this daily. Example, I have so many that are confused about the gay issue. God is against it! When you conform to evil you have to let go of good. You are either for the things of God or against Him. I might add, ignorance won't be an excuse in the end. He wants us to follow all of His Word, not just the part we like. If you don't like this, I'm not here to sweet talk you but to help you come to The Word in TRUTH.
5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
It's ONE WAY people. What is of the flesh is of the world. God's Word isn't of the world, it's for it! His Word leads us out of the traps of this world. Out of satan and the lies he has put into people's minds.
6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
God give all those that seek Him The Way, but you must release yourself from the worldly way. Grace = favor and it's there when you're ready.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Leave that worldly way behind. It is time, RIGHT NOW! To give your life to God. To give peace of mind to yourself. REPENT in Christ Jesus name. STUDY! †
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
You can't have it both ways. You can't say you want God in your life and keep the world in it. The time is NOW! Many thank about the change but never take the step. It time! This is seen by you now for a reason. Do something about it today. Leave that world behind and pick up His Word. Repent in Christ name and become new. A new creature living for what is right.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
When we have that change of heart about our lives and turn to God we are no more double minded people.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
Realize your flesh is weak and who created you. See the reason your here. It's to choose the world or He who made you for His pleasure, to have someone to love.
11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
If you're going to judge, you better know how to. This may seem a bit confusing to some. Just let it flow. We should never condemn someone as that is for our Father. He decides where we are going to end up. You want to help others? Help them with The Truth of God's Word. Without The Truth, we judge in condemnation. John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. God will sort the rest out! Study ALL of Matthew 7, not just the first verse.
12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
We are not to have condemnation in us. Our Father will do that for us. Reward or punishment? Its ours to choose.
13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
Focus on today and live with God. He always sets the path, we must see it and take it when we wake. He ALWAYS provides!
14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
So you better make the most of it. There is only ONE WAY to do that and you must let go of the worldly way of thinking.
15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
Christians will say, "If it be His will, it shall be done".
16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
We can do nothing without our Father allowing it. Our blessings are from Him, not ourselves. He put us here and can take us at His will.
17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
"Christians" you know what is right so stop making up excuses for yourself and those doing evil in the world. You know who you are. I have many friends that refuse to follow Gods Word on certain subjects. They are busy looking for reasons to not follow Him in Truth. Don't conform to the ways of the world. When you do, you reject your Father and He isn't going to be pleased with you. Don't you want to hear, Matthew 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Amen! That's why He has told us, 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
