1 Thessalonians 2

1 For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:

They didn't come with a few words of their own, but with The Word of God that lifted people out of the lies of satan.

2 But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.

Paul and Silas spoke in Philippi, showing them the way of salvation and he cast out an evil spirit within a women in Christ name. They beat them and put him in jail for it. It didn't matter to Paul or Silas, God was with them and His power opened the doors.  Acts 16:26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

3 For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:

They preached The Truth and healed in Christ Jesus Yahshua's name. They did nothing wrong.

4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

A true person of God won't conform to what the people want to hear, but the things they should hear. We have way to many playing church, ignoring The Word as its written and putting on shows. When God opens your eyes to The Truth, you had better stick to that Truth and not replace it with your own.

5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness:

As God is Paul's witness, he taught God's Word without boasting of himself or twisting things around so people can continue in their sins.

6 Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.

They never ask of anything from others. It was about The Word, not for any gain for themselves. It was about winning souls for Christ.

7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:

When you have a baby, you take very good care of that child. You want nothing but the best for them. You feed them the best you have. You protect that child with your own life. You teach them and correct them when it's called for.

8 So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.

Paul cared so such that others come to know Christ and The Truth of God; he would have laid his life down for them. He had nothing but love for them, that they would separate themselves from the ways of the world and have life through Christ Jesus, The living Word.  John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

9 For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.

They didn't ask for a dime. Although they were beaten, they continued to do the work of God. They came to preach The Word of God, that others would be blessed by eternal life through Christ.

10 Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:

Paul, Silas and Timothy's actions were those of righteousness. There fruits were that of true Christians. Our Father and the Thessalonians witnessed this first hand.

11 As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children,

Our Father gives us all our needs, He takes care of us, feeds us food and Word, both helps us grow. He gave us life and gives us Life. He has shown us The Way to go. God's there every day. We should do the same for all those in our lives. Have you shown them Christ today? Will you tomorrow? He has given us purpose.

12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

The Thessalonians knew, what they heard was not made up of humans words, but of God. I've never read anything that does what The Word of God does. If you have studied it, you understand what I'm talking about.

14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:

These Jews are not of our brother Judah, but those that are of the synagogues of satan. We're talking about the Kenites. They've infiltrated the duties of the priests and scribes. "Kenites" mean the "sons of Cain" #7014, "Qayin, kah'-yn; Kajin, the name of the first son, and of an oriental tribe [not Judah]: Cain, Kenite." also see #7017, "a Kenite or member of the tribe of Kajin:-Kenite". They'll get what's coming to them if they haven't repented. We all will!  Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.  Don't think they're not given the chance to chose Christ, they were then and are today. We all have the choice.

15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:

The ones crying out to crucify Christ were none other than these fake Jews, the kenites.  Luke 23:21 But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.

16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

They murdered Christ Jesus, they tried to stop Paul and Timothy from teaching The Word, They've infiltrated the Christian church with lies, deceptions, traditions of humans and false doctrines. They've created whole new versions of bibles to fool and control.

17 But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire

Paul was very proud of the Thessalonians. They've shown themselves to be can do Christians, holding to The Truth of God and the power within.

18 Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.

19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

Win the battle, receive a crown. Do you study His Word. Do you know about His coming, the second advent? We are going to see this very soon and I mean very soon. Are you able to see the season we are in?  Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:  The Lords coming, are you ready? Have you been fed the meat of Truth?  Matthew 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

20 For ye are our glory and joy.

They have continued to feed The Word of Truth throughout the land. The church of Thessaloniki is holding to the work of The Lord. Paul, Silas and Timothy are blessed to see this. The blessing grows in knowledge of The Gospel and His coming.
