Revelation 3
1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
This church just goes through the motions. They do very little to preach The Word or do the work they should really be doing. This is most churches today. A few Words of God and the rest nonsense. Fill in as much music that will bring the numbers up because of the show and get as much money from them as possible. Sounds like just about every church today.
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
They just don't have time for God. They love to play church, but as far as knowing God's Word, they haven't a clue. No wonder so many get mean when they hear The Truth. It offends them because they haven't taken the time to get to as much as the milk of The Word. Ever tried teaching someone like that?
3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Many refuse to get into The Word and because they will believe a lie = feel good escape plan over The Truth, they won't see satan for who he is.
4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
Within every church there are a few that care enough and love our Father enough to study His Word and follow it. "Even is Sardis"
5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Are you ready? Do you know you will be here through satans tribulation? "Overcometh" means to overcome that evil one.
6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
In this case have you been paying attention to this study so far? We see God is only pleased with the church of Smyrna so far. It's the type of church it is not its name that we must be looking at. They study, preach and do the work required of them. They hold to The Truth and know who comes first.
7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
Guess who came through the bloodline of David? This type of church knows the bloodline of Christ. With that the opposite. Do you know who the Kenites are and how they got here? Another study for another time.
8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
Once God has given you the knowledge of His Word, because you sought it out, not one person can take it from you. God has found favor with two churches now and only two. These know who comes first and these know the creation story of God's Word. These know who the kenites are and what to lookout for these days. The end of the age of flesh humans.
9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
These of the synagogue of satan are the kenites. They say they are Jews, but they're not. Want to know more? Matthew 13 has a bit more on the "tares". Matthew 13:24-30 24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
This isn't a "rapture" but power over being tempted. Why? Because you hold to The Truth, you are sealed with it, you overcome satans tricks. Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. You don't find satan tempting. 2 Thess. 1: 4-5 4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the Churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: 5 Which is a manifested token of the righteous judgement of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the Kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer.
11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Christ will come quickly. Hold to that which you have been taught. When satan is here putting on a show, you will be waiting on Christ Jesus. You aren't fooled by the ways of the world or the tricks satan has for the rest of the world. You know to wait on the true Christ.
12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
Heaven is where God is. He's coming here and those that overcome will be a part of heaven.
13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Our Father tells all those willing to listen, everything we need to know. Refusing it doesn't mean it's not TRUTH.
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
In the beginning God created the earth and His Word, Christ Jesus is witness as He is Himself God. God needs no witness of Himself. He is that He is.
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
The works of the church of the Laodiceans are worthless. It's ALL or nothing brothers and sisters. ALL or NOTHING!
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
God can't use wimps. When you can't pick a side and just go with whatever, you are of no use to anyone. So many call themselves "Christian" while conforming to whatever worldly behavior passes by them. Example; You can't be a REAL Christian while saying it's ok to be gay and saying you believe in Christ Jesus. It goes against His teachings.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
So many today can't see the true blessings for the worldly riches. The Truth is such a blessing. Following it can be a blessing for many.
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
When everything you have done is put to the test of fire, will the good be plentiful? Can you see The Truth over the lies? Gold is purified through a process of high temperature heating or chemical exposure, depending on the purity of the mined gold. How pure is your work. Is it of God? When you put the church of the Laodiceans to task they just can't cut it. They refuse to do the work or study The Word.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Our Father loves us all, but He isn't going to stand for evil. Repent and have things He puts in your life help you grow into a wonderful Christian.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Seen the picture of Him knocking at the door? Do you see a door knob? No, because you must be the one to open your heart to Him.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Repent, Study, do the work and wait on The True Christ. † Reward is yours!
