Revelation 2
1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
The messages are to the Christians in each of these churches in this, The End Times. The end of the age of this flesh.
2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
This church can see the fakes within it. They know and understand how to judge in righteousness. Shame this whole church doesn't follow suit. We with eyes to see feel their pain. Evil is everywhere today and those with Truth can tell who is evil.
3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
Sounds like a good church, but hold on.
4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
The church of Ephesus does the the works of Christ, they just don't believe the story of Christ. They follow traditions of man.
5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
The church of Ephesus is told to wake up and turn back to the teachings of Christ. Let go of the traditions of humans.
6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.
This type of church is all about the numbers and the show. They have very little of The Word spoken and a lot of traditions of humans. I see more and more of these churches today. They're always thinking, "What can we do to get more people to attend" instead of teaching God's Word.
7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
Be careful of the church you're in today. Many lead you away from The Truth, not to it. We are in a time of the falling away. Those that care enough to study and follow God's Word are promised they will be part of The Tree of Life = Christ Jesus life for eternity.
8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
The church in Smyrna is one of the only two churches God finds favor in. They follow and teach His Word. They believe in His Word!
9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
The church in Smyrna know who these fake Jews are. They hold the key of David and can't be fooled when satan arrives. Knowing The key of David, you also know who the Kenites are. We will be touching on this when we go back to Genesis or you can read it for yourselves.
10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
It's a prison of lies. The lies will be all around you, "that ye may be tried". "Faithful unto death" is faithful to God in front of satan as he is death. You should know this isn't a literal death because you can't fool anyone if you're really murdering people because they won't follow you. The church in Smyrna or the teachings of this type, know satan comes before Christ. They won't teach the lie of "rapture" while the other "church's" God isn't pleased with do.
11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
"overcometh" = the deception of satan. Remember we are taking about the end of this age. "The second death" is of your soul.
12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
They have The Word, but they just don't want to follow it. These worship the false before they worship The True Christ.
13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
They claim the name of Christ, but they will follow another. When the anti-christ is here, they jump right in bed with him. These also go after your money begging and taking from you under the name of God. This type of church has programs built around tithing. How many times have you gone to church and the sermon all about giving?
14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
The church in Pergamos committed "fornication", in this sense is a spiritual act. "Balaam" a teacher who taught for money and made the church of it. Do we ever see this in the churches on TV today. Make no mistake, they are everywhere.
15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.
Nicolaitanes are the same ones that have affected the church of Ephesus. Remember they didn't believe in the story of Christ and followed traditions.
16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
Staying within context, Jesus is saying repent and turn your focus away from gathering money, give it back to My Word.
17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
Overcome the lies and deceptions of the world and satan when he shows his face and receive reward. Do you have the seal of God?
Revelation 9:4
And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the
earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have
not the seal of God in their foreheads.
18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.
The church in Thyatira does the work of The Lord, but, we're going to see their works are great, but they are ignorant of God's Word.
20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
This church is a feel good church. Nothing it says lines up with Truth, but leads you into satans camp. They will stand with satan.
21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
God has given all the time He could to the church of Thyatira, but they would rather believe the lies of satan. They want to believe in a "rapture" and that satan is The true Christ standing in Jerusalem.
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
Most churches go whoring after satan, God isn't going to stop them. One way out, REPENT! A lot of "Christian churches" won't. To many "churches" today don't even know who comes first. This is why they will jump in bed with satan. Spiritually speaking! They believe he is Christ.
23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
Reward or punishment comes to us all. Ignorance of God's Word isn't going to be a reason you didn't know satan comes before Christ Jesus.
24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
Those within the churches that don't follow after satan when he arrives will not be held accountable with the rest.
25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
All of you that hold to The Truth during the time of satans lies, you will have reward. "HOLD FAST" Wait on The True Christ!
26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
Hold to The Truth continuing in doing the work you're told to do when satan is here. Stay in that field and on that roof top folks!
27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
Because they didn't follow The Word God has given them about who to wait on, they will be broken up, shattered to pieces.
28 And I will give him the morning star.
Did you know there are two "morning stars"? We are to wait on the last. He comes at the 7th trump and not until then. Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [day star or morning star] how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Have you been paying attention? Do you have the ear to hear The Truth of God's Word or a love for the world. Are you waiting on the fake or The True?
