Mark 16

1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

They're heading to Christ Jesus tomb after the high sabbath. They go there to anoint His body three days after Christ had been placed in that tomb.

2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.

Sunday morning!

3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?

They're heading to His tomb and talking about how they're going to move the stone that blocked the entrance.

4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.

6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

This is an angel with the message The Savior of God has risen.

7 But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

This angel wants these women of God to remind the disciples what Christ had already told them. He will meet them in Galilee. Ref. Mark 14:28 and Matthew 26:26-32  26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.  Here we have the Holy Communion. Symbolic of His body, He received the stripes and crucifixion; we receive the healing when we believe on His name.  27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;  28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.  Old covenant blood was the blood of animals, but Jesus sealed that covenant with His own blood, once and for all times. The blood sacrifices were an ordinance. Today, that is gone. We have Jesus. When anything is repented in His name, it is over and done with.  29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.  30 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.  31 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.  This was the plan and it has brought blessings to many that have chosen to listen. The Word is in the world, all we have to do is open it and study.  32 But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

8 And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.

9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

Mary Magdalene and the casting out of seven devils; Luke 8:2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils.  When He heals you, evil runs! Seek Him daily and evil cannot enter.

10 And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

They're upset at the loss of Christ and their behavior but there was good news and Mary Magdalene is bringing it.

11 And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.

They knew what Christ had told them wouldn't be a lie but after all they had gone through they had let doubt take hold. They had seen so many things Christ Jesus had said and done yet their minds could not accept what she was saying.

12 After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.

13 And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.

Polluted with doubt after all they had seen and heard our Lord say and do. Kind of the way most churches have become. They'll listen to anyone talk about traditions or false doctrines but won't take time to study what The Word says. They say, "Christians won’t be here for the tribulation, they will fly away." The word says, Ezekiel 13:20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.  God is telling us all He is against those feel good doctrines with the attempted covering of The Truth. Gods against them teaching they'll "fly" or "rapture" out of here. He gave us His Truth, why waste it on humans’ feel good messages of lies? Because satan wants you to believe you don't have to worry about studying The Word of God, you will be raptured.

14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

Christ Jesus opened their minds to The Truth. He stands before them and there is no getting around that fact. He is ALIVE!

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

They need to get up and spread The Truth. Christ had died for everyone to have life everlasting. The last sacrifice for all time. Tell everyone about His life, death and resurrection that they may believe and live.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

To believe these things you are baptized in His blood, overwhelmed by His sacrifice for you. A truly repenting heart. Our salvation is in His blood, His sacrifice. Notice the condition "but he that believeth not shall be damned". Now on top of that, you want to follow His examples. Walk His path. Christ was baptized so we should follow. Baptize - baptízō, bap-tid'-zo; from a derivative of G911; to immerse, submerge; to make whelmed (i.e. fully wet); used only (in the New Testament) of ceremonial ablution, especially (technically) of the ordinance of Christian baptism.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Christians have power over evil and will spread The Truth throughout the whole world.

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Christians will be able to handle the evil and hear the lies without any of it affecting them. Christians will minister to the sick and the lost where The Holy Spirit will heal.

19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Do your part! Spread The Word without hesitation. Help those who teach get The Word out there to save their souls for live everlasting life. Anyone giving their life to The Lord is a sign of His Truth and love.
