Acts 3

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

ninth hour = 3pm.

2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

This name "Beautiful" is the east gate. Corinthian brass, covered over with silver and gold. This lame man sitting where healthy, wealthy people go through was chosen for the city to see God's power.

3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

Those who carried the man and the man himself knew of the power of God and asked for help.

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

God is working through them.

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

When Peter said "Look on us" this man felt something was coming to him.

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

An earthly thing has no equal to the spiritual. The power of God can't be matched!

7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

God healed this man and Peter helped him up as to start his new life in the blessings of God.

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

God is ALWAYS The One that does the healing and The One that gives the blessings. Look how many fakes there are out there today.

9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

You can't ignore the power of God. It has an impact one way or another. Refusing Him will always cause you trouble in life, that's the impact for those that do. All those in Jerusalem where able to see this man that sat on the ground sense he was born, stand and walk.

11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.

Gentiles could come to Solomon's porch and be taught The Word, so by this ALL could see Gods power as this man jumps for joy.

12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

Peter is asking, do you really think a human could make this man to walk.

13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

They fought for the release of Barabbas yet The One that they killed at that hand of Pilate, is The One that healed this man.

14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

Peter reminds them of their choice. Luke 23:17-18  17 (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)  18 And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:

15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

Peter lays it out clearly. They killed the Prince that gives life. No real deference in the world today. Many chose evil over Christ right now.  Couldn't tell you how many love the things of the world, calling them love but are of the devil. If Christ spoke it from His lips to their ears, they would still refuse.

16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

With Faith, Christ WILL give! He already has!

17 And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

It was their ignorance of The Word, they rejected The Truth Christ would come and be crucified fulfilling the prophecy foretold. Do you think ignorance will be a good excuses when you're face to face with God?

18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

It was Gods plan all along and told before the fact. He has given us everything we need to know, all we have to do is open the manual and start in the beginning.

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

See the condition? You must "REPENT" in order to have your sins blotted out FOREVER and be converted from the world. It comes from our Lord Christ Jesus. This is DAILY From the heart or it isn't real.

20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

Upon your REPENTANCE, you are made new. He is with you and you should have that peace of mind, ALL has been forgiven.

21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

"restitution of all things" = "Apokatastasis"- Greek,= re-establishment of all things from a state of ruin. It happens at the 7th trump = Trump of God = Christ return

22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

Deuteronomy 18:15-19  15 The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;  16 According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not  17 And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.  18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.  19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.  The first advent and the second advent were told to us ALL. Belief is all that separates us from others.

23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

All that have not aligned themselves to Jesus Christ kingdom shall be removed, as it was written.

24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

"Samuel" in Hebrew = "heard of God", Have you heard? Do you give God time out of each day He has given you? We have been told we could have eternal life, that our sins will be forgiven upon repentance. That it is through the blood of Christ sacrifice we have The Way.

25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

You accept Christ, the blessing is with you no matter who you were.

26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Repent daily from your heart. Hungry for His Word and way of living brings blessings each and everyday. This flesh is temporary, so do your best while in it because what counts is the finish line of it.
