1 Timothy 1
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
When you repent, you have "FAITH" that from God our Lord we have "Grace, Mercy, and Peace"
3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
We are to stick to God's Word and His Word only. Beware of the "new bibles" starting with the niv. It's satans work! satan tries to corrupt and always will. Ecclesiastes 1:9 The thing that hath been it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the son. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. I will say it! If your church is using the "niv", you need a new pastor.
4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
"Genealogies" isn't as important as salvation. Even kenites can accept Christ. What's important is to check everything out in the world of lies today. Check them out through The Word of God. That is more than ONE verse, but within context of what is being said.
5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
In the end of it all, being genuine, having a giving heart out of love, strong in the assurance God is with you in all you do in righteousness. Many won't see the things you do as good. That doesn't matter. Only what God thinks of you is what's important.
6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
This "jangling" = "babblers". They stand in front of the congregation of the church and talk about everything but The Word of God. That's most churches today folks. If you're not hearing Gods Word, your hearing humans. The "churches" today give a few verses and the rest is possibly about the world relating to it in some way. RUN!
7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
These sway around the focus and context of The Word. These teach salvation and tithing, traditions of men while collecting a salary. I try to teach so-called "pastors" God's Word and they always run to milk as their answers. They lack The meat of The Word or just don't want any part of it. They sound like they know what they're talking about, but only to the unlearned. It's about the show today. Any "pastor" that will say, "The Law isn't in affect today" isn't a REAL Pastor. Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Some will say, "what about some that try to say you are saved by good works" well God says, 2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own [purpose and grace], which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
See the condition Paul sets forth? [IF] it's used properly The Law is good. Look what has happened to The USA. God's Law has been twisted into serving satan. Our Founders created the laws of this country from God's Word. People have and are trying to destroy it all. Most are called democrats in the USA.
9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
It's to make right what is wrong and to make good of those that follow evil. It's stands today for us ALL to follow. The Law is still in effect today!
10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
The Law sets the standered. It tells us homos, thieves, liars, etc. are against the law and God. NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU WANT TO TWIST IT, GOD HATES IT!
11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
Paul preached what he was given. The Gospel of Christ through His mercy, gives us forgiveness upon our repentance in His name when we break one of His laws.
12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
Paul was chosen before the foundations of this earth age. Paul was trained under the best teacher of His day about the law, but it took on a different meaning when he heard Christ.
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
That's what people are when they refuse The Truth, "ignorant". It's no excuse in the end when you have been told and given the resource to The Truth, The Bible. Stupidity is knowing The Truth, yet refusing it anyway. I asked many people to look up the origin of "easter" that is also known as "ishtar" and all I heard was excuses to why they didn't have to. We are all held accountable to our actions, good or bad in the end. Where you are in ignorance or stupidity is up to you. 14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
We are given great favor when we ourselves show our "faith and love" towards Him.
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
Christ came for everyone that will accept Him. Even the kenites! All we have to do is repent and follow His ways. There's only one unforgivable sin and that's for the elect. Mark 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit. The unforgivable sin can only be committed by God's elect after the antichrist is here on earth, as the blasphemy of that act is nailed down in Luke 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Spirit it shall not be forgiven. It's directed to those that would knowingly turn their back on the Holy Spirit to give Him the opportunity to witness against satan.
16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
Paul showed the example, Christ showed him The Way after all he had done that he could be forgiven. Sinners have The Way to redemption. Repent! We can be part of what we should be. Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, "Predestined" means "from a prior time", or "required to do a certain thing" in the Greek text. Ephesians 1:6 To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved:
17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory forever and ever. Amen.
18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
Christians, we are at war. We must fight the good fight. It's against evil and we must use the tools giving to us. The Word when need and everything else at its time.
19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
"Faith" is our shield of our armor, our shield of faith is the knowledge of TRUTH. We know beyond any doubt God is with us and we overcome it all.
20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
There is nothing like hard times to change your way of thinking. Be careful who you help, the situation they're in may be what they need. You should never give money to a drug user to eat because they will use it for drugs instead. Paul sent these two to satan = the evil they wanted to follow as to learn a lesson. 2 Timothy 2:16-17 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. 17 And their word will eat as doth a canker; of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus.
