Luke 17
1 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
Things are going to come against us Christians, but the real trouble will be for those that bring it against us.
2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
It would be better to drown with a stone around your neck, sinking you to the bottom, than to cause a stumbling to one of Gods children.
3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
We must forgive or we harden our hearts to the point were we become as those that hate Christians. Use common sense though, we aren't door mats.
5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
The Word increases faith. As we grow in Him, we grow in the understanding. He's in control of it all and as long as we do our best, He WILL see to the rest.
6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
Which one of you would like to stop him from doing his work and ask him to fix you dinner and serve it?
8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
Does he thank him for what he does, no because they get a salary for what they do.
10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
Christ tells the disciples not to expect a thank you and they don't need one for doing the things they should be doing in the first place.
11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
Because of their sickness, the lepers keep their distance as to not contaminate the rest of the people. These ten are symbolic for the ten tribes scattered and lack understanding of who they are today.
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
That's Faith! They understood Who He is and the power within Him.
14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
Only one of the ten praised God for their healing. Do you give God the glory for each day? We are blessed by God EVERYDAY regardless of circumstance.
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
This Samaritan Gentile fell down at Christ Jesus feet and thank Him for healing Him.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
Christ asks His disciples where the other nine went.
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
"Stranger" Greek "Allogenes" = alien or of another race.
19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
This man was given more than a healing of flesh, but a life everlasting because of his faith.
20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
"With observation" = Greek word "parateresis" = an "hostile watching". It's going to happen so slowly, without The Truth many won't know it's happening.
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
The Kingdom of God was [among] them at that moment, but because of their hate for Him they are blind.
22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
Christ is telling His disciples the day is coming when He will be crucified and no longer on earth, not able to answer anymore questions.
23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
This is also a reminder for us. Many will say Christ has returned here or there, but they lie. Some with false doctrines of flying away, but they're ignorant to His return.
24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
The Lords Day = 7th trump = The Trump of God. The Lords return isn't until this day and it happens faster than you can imagine the speed of light travels right in front of you.
25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
Before anything else, Christ must endure many terrible things by that evil generation before Him on that day.
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
After the days of that evil generation crucifying Him, then we see the days of His return. They will be as in Noe's days. Do you know what is going on? Look around you today! Very little is missing.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
All the filth and biblical deceptions of that day will be the same when Christ returns. Look Around folks, WE ARE HERE!
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
All this homo behavior, false doctrines, wife swapping, worship of sports, money, tv shows, etc. is occupying people and they're letting it happen to them. Then its to late! The 7th Trump sounds.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
It is exactly the way it WILL be upon Christ Jesus return. LOOK AROUND!
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
Stay a watchmen = housetop, stay at work = in the field, His Word has given us what and who to look for. His Word has given us the armour. Continue in His work. If you're still in this flesh, know it's the fake, NOT the true Christ. Stay in the field! Stay at work!
32 Remember Lot's wife.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
Lots wife looked back, when satan arrives don't leave that rooftop or field. Keep your soul, don't allow him to take it.
34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
One will be fooled by satan telling everyone he is Christ.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Taken by that deception.
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Taken by that deception.
37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
"Eagles" here are buzzards come to devourer the carcasses of the spiritual dead. They didn't stay in the field, they didn't stay at the grinding, they didn't stay within That True Rest = Christ Truth. Within context is TRUTH and if you have eyes to see, you can see clearly, there IS NO RAPTURE!
