Romans 1

1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

I want you to notice he was “called”. Paul is a fine example of a separation from the worldly. His focus was on pleasing our Father. What have you done this week to please God!

2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

Or, concerning the good news that all people could partake of Jesus Christ, our Lord. In this is you that have eyes to see and ears to hear the thing that is pleasing to God and what He finds favor in of the church that teaches this. (The key of David, and with that there must be an opposite. With light there was made darkness. For every negative there must be made a positive.)

4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Jesus was more than just a person. By being the firstfruit raised from the dead proved He was the Son of God. He brings everyone that chooses, LIFE.  ( Sadly many people are walking around today.... DEAD, without the truth in them.)

5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

In other words, through faith in Christ comes all gifts of God.

6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

Do you wear a cross or go into a building on Sunday and call yourself a Christian, or do you study, speak and live for Christ Jesus Yeshua

7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

In other words, I’m praying for you and about you. (What more could any Christian say, then that of what we are to do. Pray for ALL!)

10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

Paul had been drawn here. In the book of Acts, Jesus came to him in a dream or vision, telling him directly to be of good cheer because it was intended to send him to Rome. If this Ministry can get ONE person to come to God and come out of the world. It is worth it no matter what. The rest is a bonus.

11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

In these times of the end, the best gift anyone can have is the truth. It gives you peace of mind and the ability to overcome the false teachings of the worldly.

12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

He’s saying, we’re both going to gain by this. We can help one another. Look at what The Holy Spirit can do for you, there is no fear and you are ready for whatever may come. Have that peace of mind by going to God's Word and having faith in what He does for you.

13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.

Christians will work with everyone to do good things, but if one rejects to doing good or to the Word of God, move on. Time is short, so don't waste it with evil.

14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

Paul was sent to all peoples to teach and warn on all three levels. And we should always be there when someone is in need. Regardless of their belief or look. Physically and spiritually.

15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

The Holy Spirit had already told him he was going there, and he felt the Father leading him to the mission that would soon take him there.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Paul says, to be able to teach the gospel, I count it as my highest honor. Now I want you to note in the last phrase the expansion here: salvation to everyone that believes and of course he means those who really believe from the heart. See in this that you must believe the WHOLE Word of God and it's for everyone. (John 3:16 is the first part and the second is to study to be approved  2 Tim. 2:15)

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

In a sense here, this is faith in Jesus Christ versus the faith in satan. In other words, those who live by faith in Jesus Christ can attain salvation. There are some that live for the wants in life and some that live for the needs. God will see you get both in His time (IF) you have faith in Him, not in satan or self.

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

You want to make God mad, keep doing wrong and for them who have the wisdom of God in them, yet still don’t follow that path, trouble is coming for you. Repent and turn from the ways of the world.

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

Once you have been shown God's Word, you are held accountable for doing what He says in it.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Here, the invisible things are those things hidden from the very foundation of the world. It was made known to them that the Father created this whole world, therefore they are without excuse. If you study, you see the levels of God's word. Milk for the babes or beginners to the first meat - adults, nothing to do with age and the second meat= spiritual. That’s Correct, two meats.

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Couldn't tell you how many I talk to that say they are "Christian" but with their actions, show otherwise. (Whenever is convenient is going to get you into trouble.)

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Some say, "I am Christian" while helping others to stay in sin. A Christian knows Christ = The Word. They're always ready to help wake up others to the truth. I say again, THE TRUTH!

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Our Father isn't going to force anyone to Him and to the truth and because they didn't want Him, they choose to be evil and use each other in every unclean way. We can get a better fix on this lust of their own hearts by turning to John 8:44. Jesus is speaking to this group and identifies them, saying, Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. In other words, you are of your father, the devil, the partaker there even in the Garden of Eden. He was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth, because there was no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it. So the lust here is to dishonor their own bodies, between themselves is of the devil, the father of lust.

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

They changed the truth of God into a lie, and this began in Genesis 3:4-5. They worshipped the sun and animals and satan himself, who said, surely the day you eat hereof, you’ll become wise, etc. What do you think of first thing each the morning? Is it money, a party, what to drink tonight. Where is your focus in the day? That is what you worship. There is only one thing that leads us to life. Christ Jesus!

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

Of course, this is talking about a sexual abuse of the body here. It's a real shame that people don't see how evil it is to be gay. If it were something good our Father would say so, but He says it's bad. It goes against Him and His purpose for us.

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Remembering John 8:44, we see the father of this evil lust. And it goes for woman and it goes for men. The gay thing in the world is of the world. God is against it and if you are for it you are against God.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

This verse more or less says, as they rejected God, then God in turn rejected them. Evil people such as the lovers of homosexuality, love the flesh more than God. He isn't going to force ANYONE to have a clean mind, that isn't love.

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

It is fascinating how much people are not shown all of God's Word and when shown the blessing of knowledge they refuse it. To many so-called Pastors have really fallen. I pray yours is feeding you. If not, join us at Open Veil Ministry. I pray I am pleasing to our Father in His work as a Pastor.

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

This is the time were the world has corrupted God's Word by not teaching all the truth making it void when spoken. The thinking today is if it isn't comfortable and warm, covered in sugar it must be wrong.

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

You can try to give them the chance to see God's Word, but they are going to reject it because they are evil.

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

This chapter pointed out about being gay and God being against it. He is also against anyone who is for it or supports this. I lost many in giving this chapter.
